Erik Browne
Managing Director
Erik is the founder and Managing Director of Select Veneers and is responsible for the strategic direction and operational management of the company.

After learning all aspects of the wood veneer industry in the family business led by his father, Terence Browne, Erik started his own company in 1995, aiming to provide the highest levels of customer service and quality in the supply and manufacture of bespoke wood veneers and layons.
Select Veneers has continued to grow under Erik’s leadership and has enhanced its reputation for supplying quality architectural veneers for many commercial and residential building projects. Erik has continued to invest in the latest technology and training of staff for today’s complex bespoke wood veneer projects. Many of these highly trained staff have been with the company for many years, meaning that the whole Select Veneers team, led by Erik, knows how to achieve the quality and service required by our valued customers.
Gary Butcher
Sales Director
Gary joined Select Veneers in 2002 with the aim of increasing veneer and layon sales, and in recent years has also developed the more specialist architectural sales as demand for these products has risen significantly.
Gary has many years of experience in selection and grading of veneers. In 1991 he joined a large wood veneer importer, Wood Conversion, specialising in African veneer and North American species. He gained expert knowledge through grading and selecting for customers, both at the UK facility and at the parent slicing plant in Africa.
Like everyone else at Select Veneers, Gary is focused on achieving the best results for our customers by providing the highest levels of service and expertise.
Martin Timpson
Production Manager
Martin has been working with us for over 20 years, largely responsible for selecting and cutting veneers for many different layon requirements ranging from one-off specials, bespoke contracts through to commercial orders for the panel market.

Ian Perry
General Manager
Ian has a wealth of experience having worked for Select Veneers since 1998. He understands the complexity of customers’ orders and unique requirements and has extensive skills in customer service and logistics.
His previous employment in customer service and account management ensures successful supply to our varied customer needs.
